Job description:

About the role:

The Purchasing Intern will support the Purchasing Department in sourcing activities, supplier coordination, procurement documentation, and ERP data updates. This internship provides hands-on exposure to procurement processes within the furniture manufacturing industry.

Key responsibilities:

Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations.
Support the Purchasing team in preparing Purchase Orders (PO).
Follow up with suppliers on delivery schedules and shipment status.
Assist in maintaining procurement records and documentation.
Support ERP system data entry and updates.
Coordinate with Project, Material Planning, Production, and Warehouse teams.
Assist in supplier evaluation and performance tracking.
Follow up on quality issues, shortages, and supplier claims.
Prepare procurement reports and summaries.
Perform other administrative and ad hoc duties assigned by the department.

About you:

Currently pursuing Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, Procurement, Operations Management, or related disciplines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and willing to learn.
Responsible, organized, and able to work independently.
Internship period of at least 3 months.
